TMC-R (4U) Microwave Link

The Digital Ready Series TMC-R is the most requested model on the market; its modularity permits many possibilities to update or modify the equipment in a second time, according to specific needs.
The TMC transmitter is designed to convert the IF signal at 70 MHz to a microwave frequency in the RF range from 2 GHz to 15 GHz and amplify it to various power levels. The configuration is that of a simple frequency conversion, with admitted modulation types being FM or digital.
The equipment consists of a standard 4-Unit 19" rack. This model is manufactured using modular boards, in order to increase the versatility of use and to facilitate maintenance and control.
In the same rack either the analogue or digital modulator modules can be installed.
In the analogue configuration, the transmitter accepts as input an IF signal or BASE BAND or 1 VIDEO channel and 2 (optional 4) AUDIO channels.
In the digital configuration the transmitter accepts as input an IF signal or a DVB-ASI TS signal.
The receiver, R model, is designed to convert the microwave signal (in the range 2 GHz to 15 GHz) to the IF 70 MHz frequency and amplify it to the nominal output level. The configuration is a simple frequency conversion.
The equipment consists of a standard 4-Unit 19" rack. In the same rack can be installed the analogue or digital demodulator modules.
The analogue version of the receiver has in output, besides the IF signal, also the BASE BAND signals, and the separated 1 VIDEO channel and 2 (or 4 optional) AUDIO channels.
The output/input flange is normally placed on the front panel, but on request it can be placed on the back panel.

Analogue functioning:
It is possible to insert an analogue modulator into the transmitter and/or the demodulator into the receiver; furthermore, it is also possible to insert two additional audio channels. According to the RF frequency, it is possible to increase the output power inserting only a simple booster module.
This product is designed to function with the PAL and NTSC standard, with one video channel and at most four mono audio channels. Alternatively the four mono channels can be transferred into two MPX signals, or if one requires to transport more audio channels (without video), it is possible to have up to ten mono audio channels or eight MPX channels.

Digital functioning:
Thanks to the modularity of the Digital Ready links, it is possible to digitalize the equipment.
Inserting the corresponding modulator/demodulator modules in the transmitter and the receiver, this link can be configured to work either using QPSK or 16QAM digital modulation schemes. On demand it is also possible to utilize other constellations.
Inside the receiver, optionally, it is also possible to insert an MPEG-2 decoder having both digital DVB-ASI TS outputs (used to pilot digital terrestrial transmitters) and analogue outputs: 1 Video channel and 2 Audio channels output (used either to monitor the signal or to pilot an analogue terrestrial transmitter).
